Upon the Hearth the Fire is Red | a poem for Hobbit Day

I have been dealing with a severe cold for about a week now and I was very hesitant to record anything for this year's Hobbit Day, but I decided to go ahead. I hope the slightly froggy voice doesn't distract too much from this beautiful piece of Tolkien poetry.

This is one of the many walking songs that the hobbits sing along their journey in The Lord of the Rings. It is untitled, but often referred to by its first line, Upon the Hearth the Fire is Red. It paints a warm and inviting picture of life in The Shire.
